Leading the charge, Smilegate Hope Studio and the group’s employees have joined forces to run a creative mentoring community for the next generation.

Smilegate Hope Studio announced on the 4th that it successfully hosted a creative mentoring community for the future generation. On-site, experts known as 'Palette Meisters'—hailing from fields like game development and new business ventures—provided feedback on creative projects and career guidance to children, teenagers, and young creators from local community centers.

Palette Meisters are professional mentors within 'Palette,' a creative community that ensures the next generation can pursue interest-based creative experiences regardless of their upbringing or economic background. The roster includes Smilegate employees and CEOs from alumni companies of the Orange Planet startup foundation. On the 9th, at the Smilegate headquarters, these Palette Meisters held a session to advise about 10 youth mentors—who work with underprivileged children and teenagers—on the nuances of game planning, development, and commercialization.

Park Mi-ri, a manager in the Business Development Team at Smilegate Holdings and a Palette Meister, shared thoughts on the session: "I believe this was a valuable opportunity for creators to hear various perspectives from professionals working in the field. Listening to the intriguing attempts of these creators with endless potential provided fresh inspiration for me as a mentor as well."

Furthermore, on the 18th, a mentoring session focused on drawing-based creative projects took place at the Pureun Local Children’s Center in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do. Lee Ji-eun, an associate in the HR Support Team at Smilegate RPG, participated as a Palette Meister, sharing expertise and know-how regarding comic creation and game character implementation with the children. The Palette Meisters plan to provide continuous support to young creators and youth moving forward.
