Nagoshi Studio finally broke cover. On the 11th, at The Game Awards 2025 (TGA 2025), they unveiled their debut project, 'Gang of Dragon'. It is the first title from Nagoshi Studio, spearheaded by Toshihiro Nagoshi, the man famously responsible for the 'Yakuza' series.

Set against the dark, gritty backdrop of Kabukicho in Shinjuku, Tokyo, the game carries a familiar scent of his past work but dials the hard-boiled aesthetic up. You play through the brutal turf wars of the underworld, forging alliances and navigating the lives of those trapped in the chaos. The real showstopper? South Korean star Don Lee has been confirmed as the lead.

Don Lee is no stranger to putting his stamp on things, having dominated the screen in films like 'Train to Busan', 'The Outlaws', and 'Along with the Gods' with his signature physicality. He has also left quite an impression on global audiences in 'Eternals' and 'Sense8'. Naturally, he provides the face model and voice acting for 'Shin Ji-seong', a high-ranking officer of a Korean-led mafia syndicate operating out of Kabukicho.

The trailer is a masterclass in showcasing Lee’s heavy-hitting, visceral combat style and sheer screen presence. The tone is set by sharp dialogue, not to mention the casual brandishing of firearms in bars, katana duels, and spectacular explosions. It remains to be seen if this gritty, action-packed affair will have any tangible ties to the 'Yakuza' series, but the anticipation is already brewing.

'Gang of Dragon' will officially support Korean, with further details expected to be revealed in the near future.
