Launched back in 2022, the sandbox MMORPG 'Wild Terra 2: New Lands' (hereinafter Wild Terra 2) has kicked off a limited-time free giveaway. This offer is being held to celebrate the launch of their new PvE server.

Wild Terra 2 is a quarter-view sandbox MMORPG. Much like classic titles such as Ultima Online or RuneScape, there are no fixed character classes here. Instead, it employs a proficiency system where swinging a sword improves your swordsmanship, and wielding a blacksmith's hammer advances your crafting skills. You are free to explore a vast continent and carve out your own niche through hunting and gathering.

Beyond the combat, life-sim content takes up a significant portion of the game. You can build a house anywhere in the world, decorate your estate, farm crops, or even tame wild beasts to serve as your pets. There is also a sophisticated weather and seasonal system, adding a layer of detail where the resources available for gathering shift alongside the environment.

The Steam user rating for Wild Terra 2 stands at 'Mixed' (1,168 participants, 59% positive), with some acknowledging the game's underlying potential. However, it is currently grappling with a steep entry barrier; some players have pointed out that the tutorial tasks you with building a house, yet finding available land in the beginner zone is nearly impossible, forcing them into PvP servers instead. This seems to be a casualty of a sudden influx of players. The developers have acknowledged the issue and are currently working to resolve the server overload.

Meanwhile, in the global top-selling charts on Steam, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has started its first discount. Just a month after launch, it’s offering a hefty 30% price cut, alongside free access to the multiplayer and zombie modes until the 23rd.

In the daily peak Concurrent Players top 20, ARC Raiders has maintained over 300,000 players thanks to its new winter content update, bucking the trend of a potential decline and returning to an upward trajectory. Monster Hunter Wilds, however, saw a dip of over 20,000 players compared to the previous day, dropping to 17th place.
