H2 Interactive announced on the 6th that the Korean version of the action RPG 'GreedFall: The Dying World' for PC and PS5 is slated for an official release in March, spanning both digital and physical retail formats. Pre-orders for the PS5 digital edition are now live on the PlayStation Store. Developed by Spiders, this title leans heavily into narrative-driven roleplay, set within a sprawling fantasy world inspired by 17th-century Europe.

You have the freedom to craft your own protagonist, customising their appearance, traits, talents, and abilities. As you navigate the adventure alongside your allies, every decision you make—no matter how trivial it may seem—shapes not only the unfolding narrative but the very destiny of the world. Whether you prefer to steamroll challenges with sheer force or navigate complex political waters with diplomacy, the game accommodates you. You can also tinker with crafting, hunt for buried treasure, or use disguises to infiltrate restricted areas.

This prequel takes place three years before the events of the previous game. You step into the shoes of a native from the island of Teer Fradee, a land teeming with magic and lush nature. After completing your training, you are thrust into a nightmare: captured by foreign powers from the Old Continent while your kin face the threat of annihilation. Escaping your chains, you must embark on a grand journey across the Old Continent, a land fractured by war and a mysterious plague. You will explore a variety of locations, from bustling cities and observatories to ports and ancient ruins.

Along your travels, you will recruit eight companions, each with their own distinct personalities, beliefs, and skeletons in the closet. You can manage your team by tweaking their gear, attire, traits, and combat skills to suit your playstyle. They are more than just combat fodder; they provide crucial intelligence on various factions and help forge relationships. Be warned, though: your choices can lead to lasting friendships or romance, or they could just as easily end in a spectacular falling out.

The combat system is designed to allow for tactical pauses, letting you weigh your options mid-fight against hostile creatures. You can plan your actions, exploit enemy weaknesses, and adapt your tactics on the fly. You can also pick a combat profile that suits your temperament: 'Tactical' mode grants you full control over the camera and companions, 'Action' mode lets you focus solely on your character while your allies act independently, and 'Hybrid' mode offers a balance between the two.
