The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), Nikkei BP, and Dentsu have officially announced the plans for Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS2026) and opened exhibitor registration. Marking its 30th anniversary, TGS2026 is scheduled to be held at Makuhari Messe for five days, from September 17 to 21, 2026. The event will be conducted in a format that combines physical on-site experiences with online initiatives.

This year's Tokyo Game Show is notable for being held for five days for the first time. Business Days are scheduled for September 17 and 18, operating from 10:00 to 17:00. Public Days will run from September 19 to 21, with hours from 09:30 to 17:00 (closing at 16:00 on the 21st). The organizers stated that adding an extra Public Day is intended to alleviate visitor congestion and provide more opportunities for attendees to enjoy the exhibition. Additionally, special events commemorating the 30th anniversary will be held on-site.

Starting in 2026, new ticket categories will be introduced for both Business and Public Days. To further strengthen its status as a 'Global TGS,' the organizers plan to add more cities for overseas exhibitor briefings and launch new campaigns to integrate with other gaming and entertainment events. The theme for this year's event has been announced as "The longest five days of endless play."

2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Tokyo Game Show, and special projects to commemorate this milestone will be held both on-site and in the lead-up to the event. Details will be released sequentially through official press releases, the website, and official social media channels. As the first step of the 30th-anniversary project, a special logo has been unveiled. Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be held at Makuhari Messe Exhibition Halls 1-11, the International Convention Center, and the TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, with an expected 300,000 visitors and approximately 3,500 booths (tentative).
