Pan Studio has officially rolled out the 1.2 update for their action RPG, Duet Night Abyss, titled 'Song of Wind and Clouds: Part 2', as of the 10th. This update brings a massive injection of content, expanding the Hwaseo region's narrative while introducing a new character and a suite of system tweaks.

The expansion kicks off with nine new story quests that shed light on the daily lives within the Hwaseo region. Set against the backdrop of the Yeonjin Ferry, the new side stories include 'Reunion in Crossed Time', 'Shining Moment', 'Ghostly Commotion', and 'Incense Turned to Ash'.

Joining the fray is the new lightning-attribute character, Jilyu. Wielding a greatsword and dual pistols, Jilyu becomes a permanent addition following the 'Song of Wind and Clouds: Part 2' update. Players can acquire this character either through Letter of Request or via shop purchases. Furthermore, new weapons like the greatsword 'Farewell of the Ages' and dual blades 'Wind-Cloud Blade' have been added, both of which can be crafted for free or picked up in the store.

The Letter of Request rotation has also seen a shake-up. Existing banners like 'Letter: Footnote' and 'Letter: Fleeting Moonlight' have been swapped for 'Letter: Jilyu' and 'Letter: Farewell of the Ages', while the 'Letter: Golden Years' in the Nightmare Echoes content has been replaced by 'Letter: Wind-Cloud Blade'. Additionally, nine new 'Devil's Wedges'—six weapon-specialized and three lightning-specialized—are now available via the 'Loom of Fate' exchange shop, Nocto Voyager guidebook rewards, and the Request Letter shop. Throughout the update period, players can collect ten Resplendent Hourglasses through the 'Principles of All Things' cumulative login event, with various immersive theatre events planned to follow.

Luna’s shop has also been updated, featuring the new 'Prelude of the Morning Sun' poetry collection. Unlocking this limited edition grants players the 'Youth' costume package. Cosmetic options have expanded as well, with mounts like 'Go, Hazelnut!' and 'Knight on the Blade' added to the shop. The new 'Silsa Taeho' mount is available for a limited time via a Rainbow Prism exchange, while the 'Silsa Black Pe-an' can be unlocked for free upon completing specific quests.

On the technical front, a host of new features has been implemented. The mount and gifting systems are now live, alongside a region reputation system and decoration customization. Other quality-of-life improvements include new scores for the resting area, French language support, multi-region emoji displays, and an expansion of the Soul Bird trial stages. For the Korean server, a custom KakaoTalk theme featuring Jilyu & Buso has been released and is available for free via official social channels.
