Nexon rolled out the third wave of its winter update on the 12th, introducing a fresh boss to the MapleStory roster: the formidable 'Jupiter'.

Jupiter is a top-tier boss that can be challenged by players level 295 or higher who have completed the 'Geardrock' story quest. It is available in both Normal and Hard difficulties for parties of up to three. Rewards include the new 'Sin of Pride' face accessory, 'Craving's Eternel Armor Box', and 'Jupiteroid'.

Starting at 7 PM on the 13th, the 'One Who Swallowed the Gods' raid event kicks off. The first three parties across all worlds to defeat the Hard mode 'Jupiter' will receive rewards such as the 'Tangled Balance' appearance effect (which triggers upon returning to town) and a 'God's Furnace' custom background.

For the first party to clear Hard mode, Nexon is providing 1,000 'Advanced EXP Exchange Coupons' and 'Jupiter Magic Circle' vouchers to all players. Additionally, anyone who clears Jupiter on Normal difficulty or higher by March 18th will receive a 'Miniature Chronos' chair.

The update also adds 'Geardrock' as a new region. It is a hidden workshop for Gob located in the desert, accessible to level 295 characters who have completed the Talahart story quest. Completing the story quest grants the 'Grand Authentic Symbol: Geardrock'. Upon reaching level 11, players gain a 50% EXP boost, 15% more meso drops, 15% better item drop rates, and a +20% damage bonus against Jupiter.

Furthermore, new guild content, 'Guild Castle', has been introduced, along with improvements to guild system usability. Inside the Guild Castle, players can access the lobby, Altar of Enhancement, party rooms, and other features to interact with guild members.

Starting with this update, the guild skill system has been changed from a manual point allocation method to an automatic acquisition structure based on guild level. Additionally, 'Blessing of the Guild' and 'Greater Blessing of the Guild' items have been converted into passive skills, and some guild skills have been consolidated.

Noblesse guild skill points are now maintained if the amount earned is equal to or greater than the previous week. Entry requirements for Flag Races have been removed, and players will receive maximum Flag Race points regardless of their record as long as they finish within the time limit. Guild attendance is now automated upon login, and the guild board has been updated with tags, polls, and reply functions.

A 2nd Transcendence quest has been introduced for Destiny weapons, adding 'Destiny Mode' for the First Adversary, Limbo, and Baldrix. This can be performed by characters level 275 or higher who possess a Destiny weapon. Completion adds boss damage and defense ignore options to the 'Transcendence: Will of Resolve' skill. It also provides the 'Transcendence: First Legacy' skill, which increases Attack/Magic Power by 10% for 60 seconds, and expands the weapon's Star Force enhancement limit to 25 stars.

Various new events and improvements have also been introduced. The 'Haste Beyond' event runs until March 18th, allowing players to gain field benefits by defeating a set number of monsters within their level range. During 'Haste Fever' time, monsters that provide significant EXP are summoned, and players can earn the 'I Am Haste' title—which includes a 30% boss damage boost—by completing special missions.

Starting March 5th, an attendance event will offer rewards such as 'VIP Sauna Passes' and 'Illusion Ring: Elanos' vouchers based on cumulative daily attendance after defeating 1,000 monsters within the level range.

Additionally, over 400 sound effects for 6th job skills have been added, and the criteria for discovering Treasure Hunters have been relaxed. From February 13th, a premium PC Bang login event will allow players to earn mileage, Sol Erda fragment coupons, and VIP boosters based on daily and cumulative login time.
