Konami Digital Entertainment has unveiled the latest entry in its long-standing Castlevania franchise, titled Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. The game is slated for release in 2026, marking the 40th anniversary of the series. Developed in collaboration with Evil Empire and Motion Twin, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse carries forward the series' immersive 2D action-exploration gameplay while introducing new characters and expanded regions. The game is currently available for wishlist on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

Set in 15th-century Paris, the story takes place twenty years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and the recently aired animated series. It opens a new chapter for the legendary Belmont clan, with the protagonist appearing as the successor to Trevor Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, players will dive into a monster-infested city and a mysterious castle to save Paris from eternal darkness.
