Smilegate announced on the 19th that it has updated Epic Seven with a new story for the PvE content 'Orbis Duel Festival' and introduced a new hero, Luiza. The Orbis Duel Festival is a story-based PvE mode that first debuted in November 2025.

With this update, a new story arc titled 'Call to War' has been added to the Orbis Duel Festival. Players can progress through the story by defeating enemy teams that appear in various combinations across each stage. The key is to devise advantageous team compositions and strategies tailored to the enemy, which requires the use of 'Tactical Pieces,' a dedicated system that grants various support effects in battle.

In line with this update, the Tactical Pieces system has been modified to be used within limited resources, enhancing the strategic elements. Additional features such as a tournament lobby and match brackets have also been added to enhance the atmosphere of the competition.

Furthermore, the new 5-star Covenant Hero Luiza, a key character in the 'Call to War' story, has been added. Luiza is a Fire-element Ranger who serves as the mastermind behind the Orbis Duel Festival and the Supreme Commander of the 'Future Tactical Command,' a continental alliance formed to protect Orbis.

In battle, Luiza disrupts enemies by utilizing 'Spread' along with various debuffs such as 'Laceration' and 'Silence.' Luiza is characterized by her ability to ensure her own survivability through 'Stealth.' In particular, 'Spread' allows players to apply debuffs from a single target to all other enemies, enabling strategic play by accumulating debuffs on one target and then spreading them to the entire enemy team.
