The highly anticipated deck-builder Slay the Spire 2 is officially launching into Early Access on March 6th.

This news was announced on the 20th via the official Steam page for Slay the Spire 2. First unveiled in April 2024, this sequel to the original hit was initially slated for a late 2025 release, but was delayed to 2026 to allow for further content refinement.

The trailer released alongside the March 6th announcement showcases new content coming to the game. This includes the two new characters previously introduced in developer notes: The Necro-binder, a lich necromancer who fights alongside their summon 'Golgoli', and The Regent, a star-inheritor who transforms cards into 'minions' and wields the unique 'Blade of the Monarch'. The fan-favorite character from the original, The Defect, also returns as a playable character. With new enemies, bosses, and cards, the scale of content is set to be significantly larger than its predecessor.

A particularly notable feature is the cooperative multiplayer, which was absent in the previous game. Up to four players can choose their preferred characters to scale the spire together. Players can face enemies as a team, toss potions to buff allies, and decide on relics and paths through a voting system.

Slay the Spire 2 launches on PC (Steam) on March 6th and will officially support Korean.
