Night Street Games has announced that its 5v5 capture-the-flag shooter, Last Flag, will officially launch on PC this 14 April. You can grab your copy via Steam or the Epic Games Store, while those of you waiting for console ports on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will have to hold tight until later this year.

The concept for Last Flag stems from the childhood playground memories of Night Street founders Dan Reynolds and Mac Reynolds. Their gripe with existing capture-the-flag modes? They simply failed to capture that specific blend of exploration and nerve-wracking tension. The game wraps this up in a 1970s game show aesthetic, casting you as a contestant vying for both glory and a cash prize.

Matches are designed to be strategic yet breezy, with rounds clocking in at under 20 minutes for a quick, punchy experience. Mac Reynolds, CEO and co-founder of Night Street Games, noted that "the PC launch is a massive milestone for us, but it’s really just the beginning." He added, "We’ve got new maps, fresh contestants, and some cheeky twists lined up for later this year, and we can’t wait to share them with you."

If you’re feeling impatient, you can get an early taste of the action through an open demo running until 2 March. Participating in this demo nets you exclusive costume rewards that carry over to the full launch in April, including the limited 'Lunar Gold' skin set.

Last Flag hits Steam and the Epic Games Store as a premium title. Thankfully, all those additional characters, new maps, and free cosmetic items planned for later this year won't cost you an extra penny.
