Krafton has officially secured both ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Management System) and ISO/IEC 27701 (Privacy Information Management System) international certifications from the British Standards Institution (BSI), covering their global operations.

This recognition spans the entirety of Krafton’s business, including game development, publishing, and the operational integration of AI technologies such as CPC (Co-Playable Character). Notably, the certification encompasses the Korean headquarters alongside major international offices across the US, Europe, India, and Japan.

ISO/IEC 27001 is an international standard that evaluates the establishment and operation of management systems for protecting information assets. ISO/IEC 27701 is an international standard that validates protection systems for the entire lifecycle of personal data processing. Both certifications serve as essential benchmarks for meeting global regulatory requirements, including the European Union's GDPR.

Krafton stated that this dual certification officially recognizes its security and privacy management capabilities in line with global standards. The company explained that it has not only established a framework to respond to region-specific regulatory environments but has also expanded the scope of certification to include overseas offices where actual game services are operated and user data is processed. Furthermore, the company plans to apply the same management system to its AI development and operational environments.
