On the 1st, Smilegate unveiled the 'Lost Ark Full 3D Edition' via its official YouTube channel. The footage presents a dream version of Lost Ark where players enjoy far more freedom with the camera. It ditches the traditional quarter-view for something closer to a shoulder-view, while key mechanics like 'Clashes' and 'wire actions' have been retooled into QTE sequences. We even see the infamous 'jump rope' pattern being tackled by actual jumping.

Lost Ark has a history of turning heads with these quirky April Fools' clips. Last year, they parodied OTT services with 'Lopang Play', and the year before, they treated us to 'Legion Commander War', a reinterpretation from the bosses' perspectives. From fighting games to VR gimmicks, they never fail to tickle our funny bones.

This year's prank is, predictably, hitting all the right notes with the community. Comments are pouring in, with fans remarking, "They really are serious about April Fools'", "Can't they just make this into a proper single-player RPG?", and "Why are they so good at making these?"

Meanwhile, Smilegate is keeping busy with April Fools' shenanigans across their other titles. Chaos Zero Nightmare dropped a teaser for a '2.0 new TCG mode' on YouTube, and from April 1st to 2nd, players can trigger a special card art change for their combatants in the lobby. Over in Epic Seven, the NPC shopkeeper is allegedly 'quitting' their job, hosting a clearance sale to cover their severance package.
