Turn-based mobile RPG Epic Seven announced on Friday, the 3rd, that it has launched its massive 'NEW ERA' update, introducing the new limited hero 'Perfumer Byblis' alongside significant quality-of-life improvements and new systems.

The new hero, Perfumer Byblis, will be available for a limited time from April 2nd to the 23rd. This character design won the grand prize in last year's global Epic Seven hero illustration contest held on the artist platform Pixiv. Within the game's lore, she is the secret identity of the mage Byblis, head of the Lalunda family, who runs a mysterious perfume shop in the back alleys of Izera that only opens at night.

As a 5-star Fire-element Soul Weaver, Perfumer Byblis is characterized by her ability to protect allies by continuously generating the new 'Lingering Scent' buff, which reflects damage back at enemies. Additionally, when using her third skill, 'La Mort Aura,' she taunts all enemies for 1 turn and inflicts 'Poison,' which she then detonates at the end of the turn to deal significant damage.

Meanwhile, the spring season update, previously teased during the showcase on March 28th, is also being implemented alongside Perfumer Byblis. This update focuses on providing play motivation through a new reward system, improving gear crafting and management convenience, and lowering the barrier to entry for the World Arena using AI.

In particular, tailored solutions are provided for both new and existing players. First, the 'Milestone of Radiance,' a new cumulative reward system that provides various rewards including at least 10 Moonlight 5-star heroes, has been added. Through batch gear enhancement and improvements to the 'Star’s Workshop,' players can now craft desired gear at least once a month, significantly improving overall gear management convenience.

The 'Ban-Pick Assistant' system introduced to the real-time PVP content, World Arena, is also noteworthy. This system is an AI-based drafting recommendation tool designed to help beginners enjoy the World Arena easily and fun. Furthermore, the victory point reset method during season transitions has been changed to prevent new players from facing overly difficult opponents from the start. Additionally, the 'Special Mystic Summon' has been improved to cater to both new and existing players, lowering the difficulty of obtaining Moonlight 5-star heroes.
