NC has rolled out a massive Season 3 update for its MMORPG Aion 2 on April 8. This update focuses on introducing new PvE content and strengthening character progression benefits.

Starting April 8, players can access the new expedition content, 'Corridor of Illusions'. Upon completing the dungeon, players can obtain 'Fragment: Trace of Yustiel'—a material used for crafting Devian Yustiel gear that boosts attack and defense—along with Unique and Hero grade equipment. The minimum item level required to enter this dungeon is 3,000. In addition to the expedition dungeon, seven new nightmare bosses have been added, including the tyrant Tashin.

NC has implemented several updates to alleviate player fatigue for the new season. The tedious subjugation content has been removed, and the pet species comprehension EXP requirements have been reduced. Furthermore, the spawn cycles for Shugo Festa and Dimensional Invasion have been adjusted, and the game now provides a more comfortable play environment through features such as Nightmare instant completion tickets, inheritance crafting, and Pantheon presets. Starting from Season 3, ranking criteria for select content like Transcendence and Abyss will shift to a class-based system, and season rewards will pivot from stat-boosting items to honorary items.

To celebrate the spring season, new cosmetic items have been added. Players can obtain skin-fit leggings, the Magical Heart suit, and a fluffy chick hoodie, along with three new mounts and two new sets of wings. The three newly released Deva Passes also offer items to assist with character growth.

NC has enhanced character growth benefits for Season 3. The new 'First Encounter of Illusions' boosting pass, available after the maintenance on the 8th, provides various rewards essential for early-game play, such as Kina (bound), Enchantment Stones (bound), Resurrection Spirit Stones (bound), and Devian Crystals. Additionally, the Shugo growth boosting system provides support for key gear, including weapons, accessories, and Arcana.

To celebrate the Season 3 update, NC is providing a special coupon to players. By entering the coupon code, players can receive items such as Od Energy (bound), Expedition/Transcendence Challenge Select Boxes (bound), Instant Completion Tickets: Daily Dungeon (bound), and Combat Enhancement Scrolls (bound).
