Professor Layton and the New World of Steam takes place one year after the events of 'Professor Layton and the Unwound Future'. Set in the fictional American city of 'Steam Bison', which has developed significantly beyond London, the game features a steampunk theme. As Layton and Luke reunite and embark on a new journey, the city evolves each time they solve a puzzle. The developers noted that the systems are nearly complete and they are currently polishing the presentation. Japanese voice recording is finished, and the team is now working on global localization.

In addition, information on several other new Level-5 titles was revealed. This includes 'Petit Po-yon of the Fantasy World', a puzzle game in collaboration with NHN PlayArt, and the mobile title 'Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road' (Inazuma Eleven Cross) launching in June. Other announcements included the smartphone version of 'Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time', a remake of the 2019 title 'The Snack World: Trejarers', an Inazuma Eleven remake, and a first look at 'Holy Horror Mansion', a new project succeeding the Yo-kai Watch series.

국내에서도 큰 인기를 끈 레이튼 교수 시리즈 신작 ‘레이튼 교수와 증기의 신세계’가 PS5와 PC로도 만나볼 수 있다.

레벨파이브는 지난 10일 ‘레벨파이브 비전 2026’ 쇼케이스를 통해 자사 게임에 대한 신규 소식을 전했다. 이 중 레이튼 교수와 증기의 신세계에 대해서는 신규 프로모션 영상 공개와 함께 플랫폼 확장이 공식 발표됐다. 올해 출시될 예정인 레이튼 교수와 증기의 신세계는 닌텐도 스위치 1, 스위치 2와 함께 PS5, PC(스팀)로도 전 세계 동시 발매된다. 이번 타이틀은 한국어 지원도 확정되어 있다.

레이튼 교수와 증기의 신세계는 ‘레이튼 교수와 최후의 시간여행’ 1년 뒤를 다룬다. 런던 이상으로 큰 발전을 이룬 미국의 가상도시 ‘스팀 바이슨’을 무대로 삼으며, 스팀펑크를 테마로 앞세웠다. 이곳에서 재회한 레이튼 교수와 루크는 새로운 여행을 떠나며, 수수께끼를 풀어갈 때마다 도시가 점점 발전한다. 제작진은 개발 현황에 대해 시스템은 거의 완성됐고 연출을 다듬고 있다고 전했다. 일본어 음성 더빙도 완료됐고, 글로벌판 현지화에 들어간 상태다.
