Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (hereinafter BIC Organizing Committee) announced that they will begin accepting entries for the non-competitive 'Connect Pick' category for the 'Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (hereinafter BIC 2026)' starting at 3 PM on April 15.

Connect Pick is a non-competitive category focused on expanding the touchpoints between exhibitions and attendees, designed to allow a wider variety of indie games to reconnect with gamers through BIC. Unlike the General or Rookie categories, titles that have been released for over a year or have been exhibited at previous BIC events are eligible for submission. However, these titles will be excluded from award judging.

The submission period runs from April 15 to May 26, with both the start and deadline set at 3 PM. A link to a gameplay video is mandatory, while game builds and store links are optional. Selected titles will be determined by votes from the official BIC supporters, the 'Big Connectors.'

Detailed eligibility and exhibition rules can be found in the submission guide on the official website. Selection results will be announced between the fourth week of June and the first week of July.

BIC 2026 will host its online festival from August 7 to 28, and the offline festival will be held from August 14 to 16 at Hall 2, BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, in Busan.

Joo Sung-phil, Chairperson of the BIC Organizing Committee, stated, "Connect Pick is a section that reintroduces indie games in a way distinct from award competitions, allowing us to showcase exhibition works from the perspective of gamers. We hope this provides an opportunity for titles released some time ago or previous BIC exhibition works to meet with attendees once again."
