Gravity is launching a collaboration with Kumamon, the mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture, in its PC online MMORPGs Ragnarok Online and Ragnarok Zero, starting on the 16th. This collaboration is set to run until May 14th.

Kumamon is a globally recognized mascot from Kumamoto, Japan. Through this collaboration, players can encounter the character as an NPC and as an in-game costume. Additionally, local specialties from Kumamoto, such as watermelons and tomatoes, will appear as limited-time buff items. The Kumamoto watermelon grants a 10% boost to physical and magical damage against normal and boss monsters for 15 minutes, while the Kumamoto tomato offers a 10% damage increase against all monster races for 15 minutes.

Gravity is hosting a special event for players with a base level of 100 or higher until May 14th to celebrate the collaboration. During this period, players can find Kumamon NPCs in Prontera and Lasagna in Ragnarok Online, or in Prontera in Ragnarok Zero, to be transported to a map that recreates Kumamoto Prefecture. On this map, players will follow the Kumamon NPC to complete daily quests.

The daily quest 'Kumamoto Farm Experience' involves talking to the Varmundt NPC and harvesting watermelons and tomatoes. Upon completion, players receive two of each item. Completing this quest for the first time also rewards players with a 'Costume Kumamon Hat'.

Another daily quest, 'An Eye-Opening Taste', is available through the Watermelon Poring NPC. This quest requires players to recover hidden watermelons and tomatoes scattered across the Kumamoto map, rewarding them with two of each item upon completion.
