Nexon announced on the 17th that it has implemented the second wave of its 23rd-anniversary update for MapleStory. This update focuses on adding new shared cores, rebalancing damage for various job classes, and improving overall quality-of-life. Additionally, it features special events, including a collaboration with BTS member Jin.

First, a third set of shared cores has been added to enhance 5th-job skills. Along with this, the damage output for shared cores such as 'Sol Janus' and 'Erda Fountain' has been adjusted, and the usability of 5th-job shared cores like 'Useful Holy Fountain' has been improved. A feature to customize the appearance of the 'Sol Hekate' Hexa shared core, introduced last January, has also been added.

The 'Amazin' Hot Time' event, where BTS's Jin will personally log into the game to interact with players, is scheduled for April 22nd. Characters level 260 or higher who log in during the Hot Time will receive three 'Sol Erda' and 100 'Sol Erda Fragment Vouchers' per account. Furthermore, 1,500 users who accept 'Jin's Invitation' during the event will be invited to a special map, and 77 of them will be gifted the 'Astral Touch' cosmetic item.

On April 29th, a full-venue takeover event at Lotte World Adventure will feature the 'Jin-filled Snack Event,' where players can solve quizzes prepared by Jin to receive snacks on a first-come, first-served basis. The Hot Time schedule will be announced later on the official website. Currently, the official website and YouTube channel are showcasing the planning process and Jin's 'Maple Island' experience through the second episode of 'Office Warrior Kim Seok-jin Returns.'

Additionally, the new boss 'Helena' has been added to the 'Dreamy Trial' challenge, part of the 'Change Burning: Lucid' event that has been ongoing since March. Helena, a Lucid-exclusive boss, offers a combat experience characterized by mid-air evasion. Defeating her on Nightmare difficulty rewards players with items such as the 'Dreamy Butterfly Finish Attack Effect Voucher'.

Until June 17th, players have the chance to obtain the new booster item 'Nightmare Echo' when defeating monsters within their level range. Using this item summons the special monster 'Nightmare Cleaner' for 100 seconds, which provides attack skills to assist in defeating other monsters.

Meanwhile, the 'Spring Landscape, Maple Memories' event, running from the 23rd to the 29th in celebration of the 23rd anniversary, allows players to complete missions by talking to specific NPCs to receive commemorative items like the 'Attraction Damage Skin (Unit)' and 'Maple Attack Set Voucher'. The 'Maple Monsters' event, commemorating Children's Day, will run from April 30th to May 6th. In this mini-game, players can earn cosmetic items such as the 'Maple Monsters Chair' and 'Pepe Set Voucher' based on their cumulative scores.

Until May 14th, users logging in at premium PC bangs can earn daily cumulative login rewards such as 'Mileage' and 'VIP Sauna Passes,' as well as total cumulative login rewards including 30 'Karma Black Cubes' and 30 'Karma White Additional Cubes.' Combat experience has also been improved by applying a skill acceleration effect for a certain duration when using Origin skills. Some buff effects are now maintained even after logging out and back in, and an 'Expanded UI Mode' has been introduced for windowed mode to enhance user convenience.
