Following the initial sell-out that left many fans empty-handed, another chance to purchase the Steam Controller is approaching.

Komodo, the local distributor, announced via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on the 15th that the Steam Controller will be restocked for South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan at noon on the 19th. Please note that the start time is subject to change, and purchases are limited to one unit per person. The previous batch, which went on sale at 2:00 AM on the 5th, sold out rapidly, causing disappointment among many users.

Developed by Valve, the Steam Controller is a peripheral optimized for Steam gaming. It is compatible with various devices including PCs, laptops, and the Steam Deck, and also supports the Steam Machine and Steam Frame, which Valve has announced for release later this year.

The device features TMR-based magnetic thumbsticks for precise control, high-precision haptics, and a gyro function that activates when touching and releasing the lower left or right areas. It also includes dual trackpads, a Steam button for navigating the library, store, or settings, and shortcut menu buttons for quick access to notifications or the friends list.

The price of the Steam Controller in Korea is 168,000 won, and it is currently sold out. The key factors moving forward will be the timing of sales resumption after the restock on the 19th and the volume of stock allocated to Korea. Meanwhile, on the 8th, Valve introduced a pre-order system to address supply shortages and scalping issues. Users with a Steam account that has a purchase history prior to April 27th can reserve one unit, and once the pre-order is complete, a payment email will be sent as stock becomes available.
