Early access for Forza Horizon 6 kicked off on the 15th. Despite being locked behind the most expensive premium edition, the game smashed the series' all-time record, peaking at over 180,000 concurrent players on Steam and dethroning Subnautica 2 to take the top spot in sales.

While the official launch for Forza Horizon 6 is set for the 19th, those who purchased the premium edition have been playing since the 15th. The concurrent player count hit 170,000 on day one and climbed to 181,775 by the 18th. To put that in perspective, its predecessor, Forza Horizon 5, peaked at around 80,000; this latest entry has already more than doubled that figure solely through players who purchased the premium edition.

Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, offering a distinct environment. The neon-drenched Tokyo cityscape is five times larger than the urban zones seen in previous titles. The developers have implemented full open-world ray tracing and introduced a dynamic four-season system for visual contrast. Additionally, the progression bracelet system has been reintroduced.

A new real estate system has been introduced, allowing players to customize their own garage. On the multiplayer front, the game features 'CoLab', which lets players team up in real-time to craft their own maps and events across the open world.
