SOOP is collaborating with Gen.G to host the esports tournament '2026 League of Legends Myeolmangjeon with Gen.G' starting on the 19th. This tournament features League of Legends, and applications will be accepted from the 14th to the 17th. Following this, a user vote on the 18th will determine the final 8 teams for the main event. The main tournament will be held online starting on the 19th, and the finals will take place on August 1st at the 'House of Gen.G' stage at KINTEX in Ilsan.

Myeolmangjeon is an original esports content series open to any streamer active on SOOP. Participants range from former professional gamers to beginner streamers. Over the past 10 years, approximately 10,000 streamers have participated, recording a cumulative 400 million views. All matches in this tournament will follow a double-elimination format, where two losses result in elimination, and all matches will be played as a best-of-three series.

This tournament marks the first time a proprietary scoring system, which comprehensively evaluates a participant's actual performance and tournament experience, will be applied, moving away from the previous method based solely on solo queue rankings. The new scoring system was derived by comprehensively analyzing past Myeolmangjeon records, individual rank performance, and recent tournament activity.

For participants whose skill levels are difficult to measure, the analysis results from the Gen.G Global Academy coaching staff will be incorporated to enhance fairness. Upon request from participating teams, the Gen.G Global Academy coaching staff will join as tournament coaches to provide multifaceted support, including game operations and strategy development.
