On the 31st, NEXON announced the addition of the new character, Ren, as part of the massive 'RE:BOOST' summer update for MapleStory M. Ren, a warrior-class wanderer with striking red eyes, wields a longsword as their primary weapon. To celebrate this addition, NEXON is rolling out a series of growth support events, including on-time rewards and a seven-day attendance bonus.

The event linked with the PC version of MapleStory runs until August 26th. Once players link their accounts in MapleStory M and reach specific level milestones with Ren, they receive a 'Mukmaedo' damage skin to use in the PC version. For those sticking to mobile, reaching set levels will unlock rewards such as the Petite Ren pet box, symbol enhancement mesos, and mileage cards.

NEXON is also introducing the 'Challengers World' for the first time in MapleStory M, which will remain open until September 30th. In this world, players complete missions to earn 'Challengers Coins,' which are used to climb from Bronze to Challenger rank. Reaching the pinnacle grants legendary growth elixirs, and the shop offers items like Eternal Rebirth Flames and Sol Erda. Additionally, a boss exclusive to this world, Kaido, awaits those who have reached level 240 or higher.

To speed up character growth, NEXON is offering a 'Hyper Burning' event that grants 1+4 level-ups up to level 230, alongside an 'Item Burning' event to assist with equipment progression. Furthermore, a new region in the Grandis continent, 'Taewon-gyeong', has been unveiled. To mark the arrival of Taewon-gyeong, NEXON is hosting various events, including the 'Baekyeon’s Battle Training Support' for extra experience and 'Wanderer’s Footsteps', which is a series of missions specifically for Ren.

Finally, there are shops stocked with mileage and coins. The 'Sunshine Mileage Shop' will be open until October 7th, where players can snag 'Sunshine Gloria' for increased final damage and 'Sunshine Supreme' for a critical damage boost. Meanwhile, the 'Taewon-gyeong Coin Shop' is open until September 20th, allowing players to trade 'Celestial Peaches'—earned in-game—for items like Restoration Scrolls and Choice Cubes.
