The modes featured in Playgrounds are curated by the development team or selected through official contests, with new additions arriving every month. Krafton has confirmed that the 30 winning entries from the global modding contest held in collaboration with CurseForge will also be officially registered. Krafton aims to bolster the creative ecosystem by connecting creators with a wider audience through these polished mods.

Beyond the addition of the RPD, the entire LMG category has received tweaks to reload times and recoil. The goal is to broaden the appeal of these weapons and shake up how they are used. The RPD is a 7.62mm belt-fed light machine gun available on all maps, dealing 43 damage with a fire rate of 750 rounds per minute. It supports up to a 6x scope, magazines, and stocks.

With this update, reload times for all LMGs have been slashed by 25%. Vertical recoil has been smoothed out, particularly in the mid-to-late firing stages, to prevent erratic snaps, while horizontal recoil variance has been reduced by roughly 30% for better control. Additionally, firing from inside a vehicle will now result in increased spread and recoil depending on the vehicle's speed.
