Nexon announced on August 20 that it has rolled out a substantial update to mark the 21st anniversary of Sudden Attack. This update introduces a variety of new content, including the 'Black Market' trading system and the '2-vs-2 Party Rank Battle'.

The 'Black Market' is a special, limited-time feature running for two weeks until September 3, allowing players to trade items that were previously unavailable in the standard 'Flea Market'. Upon logging in, the list of tradeable items refreshes periodically, and players can distinguish these from standard listings using specific item badges and filters. Permanent items, such as name tags or rank borders, can also be traded using the sealing system, and all transaction records are managed alongside existing ones.

The '2-vs-2 Party Rank Battle' is available until September 17. Players can participate via the Party Rank Battle screen to compete on maps specifically designed for duo play, including the new demolition mission maps, 'The Mall' and 'Line'. Similar to existing rank battles, a system is in place to opt-out of unwanted maps, and party rank points are shared. To commemorate this, a 2-vs-2 Party Rank Battle challenge quest will also run until September 3.

The celebration continues with the 'Combo Pass: 21st Two-as-One', a growth content feature available until September 3. This can be activated in the '21st Anniversary Special Exchange' using '21st Anniversary Tokens', offering exclusive rewards such as the '[S] Janhawk & Misha Hawk Selection Ticket' and up to 300% bonus XP.

For 'Sudden Pass' holders, the third track, 'Combo Boost', unlocks additional rewards, with the 'Specter (MG+) 21st Permanent' granted upon reaching the level cap of 30. Additionally, the 'Hot Play Time' event and '21st Anniversary Partner Event' will run until September 3, offering rewards like '21st Skin Weapons' and '21st Anniversary Jumping Kits'. The '21st Anniversary PC Bang Event' is scheduled for August 22 and 23.

Various birthday-themed events have also been prepared. Until August 27, the lobby will feature special 21st-anniversary themed BGM. Through the '21st Anniversary Celebration Chat Event' running until August 23, players can type a designated phrase in-game to receive daily rewards such as the 'Tiger Stripe 21st Permanent'. The '21st Anniversary Attendance Event' runs until September 30; logging in for one hour a day completes attendance, allowing players to claim up to 10 rewards, including the 'TRG21(IS) 21st Permanent'. Attendance is tracked separately for home and PC Bang environments.

On the 21st anniversary, August 23, the official SOOP channel will host the 21st Anniversary Director Showcase and birthday party starting at 17:00. Part one features an opening performance, the cooperative 'UP Together' mission challenge, and exhibition matches. Part two includes the announcement of the 21st-anniversary weapon skin contest winners, the director's showcase, and the birthday party. Surprise rewards and additional coupons are expected to be provided during the broadcast based on concurrent viewer milestones.
