The winners of the 2026 Gamescom Awards have finally been announced. On August 28 (local time), trophies were handed out across a total of 19 categories.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt walked away with a triple crown. Thanks to fan votes, the remaster and the 'Songs of the Past' DLC trailer picked up the 'Best Trailer / Announcement' award at Gamescom Opening Night Live, while the pins and medals given out at the DLC booth were chosen as 'Best Merch'. The jury also handed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the 'Best Booth' award.

SEGA also managed to bag three trophies. Alien: Isolation 2 secured the 'Best Audio' category, and Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 claimed the 'Best PC Game' category. Furthermore, SEGA and its diverse lineup of titles were recognized as the 'Best Lineup' of the show.

Capcom secured a double crown as Onimusha: Way of the Sword triumphed in both the 'Best Gameplay' and 'Best Sony PlayStation Game' categories. Meanwhile, Ubisoft also grabbed the 'Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game' award for Rayman Legends Retold and clinched the jury prize for 'Best Business Booth'.

This year's special jury prize, the 'HEART OF GAMING' award, went to Games Done Quick (GDQ). The charity speedrun event has notably raised over $50,000,000 in donations.

Games Done Quick took place from August 28 to August 30 under the banner of 'gamescom GDQ'. All proceeds from these donations and sponsorships will be channeled directly into 'Gaming for Democracy', an initiative that champions democratic values and social engagement through gaming culture.
