Look, let's be honest, the Umamusume: Pretty Derby World Tour event scheduled in the US was called off just three days prior due to visa issues.

Cygames announced via its official website at 1:30 PM on the 20th (Korean standard time) that the 7th Event World Tour: The Stage in Los Angeles for Umamusume: Pretty Derby, which was supposed to run for two days at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, has been cancelled. Originally, a massive roster of 17 voice actors and singers planned to cross the Pacific to grace the stage, but the plans ultimately collapsed.

The core culprit behind this cancellation is none other than US entry visas. Cygames and the event planning team claim they had been working alongside local promoters and legal representatives for over six months to secure visas for the cast. Yet, approval from the authorities failed to materialise right up until the brink of opening night.

In an official statement, the organisers noted that they explored every conceivable option through numerous coordination meetings with stakeholders to pull the event off, only to conclude that the show could no longer go on without securing the essential US entry visas. The organisers sincerely apologised to the trainers (users), cast members, and partners who had been counting down the days to the concert.

With the performance schedule scrapped, the planning company is now initiating full refunds for all tickets. Advance ticket sales kicked off back on July 23, spanning various price tiers including VIP passes bundled with general seat limited-edition goods. Streaming tickets and live viewings sold for fans in places like Japan are also eligible for the refund. The organisers are reviewing follow-up measures for attendees who prepared to visit in person, with details to be shared via the 7th Event World Tour official website.

This World Tour for Umamusume: Pretty Derby kicked off last June at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Though the first overseas stop in Los Angeles was thwarted, the organisers plan to press on with upcoming tour stops in London, UK, and Seoul.
