Boltray Games has announced that the light RPG Sword x Staff has locked in its release date for November 4, alongside a rather cheeky crossover with the smash-hit webtoon Return of the Blossoming Blade. The collaboration content itself is scheduled to drop starting from November 11.

This partnership is designed to let players experience the characters and lore of the massively popular webtoon Return of the Blossoming Blade right inside the world of Sword x Staff. Running until December 1, the event introduces five core members of the Mount Hua Sect—Chung Myung, Baek Cheon, Yu Iseol, Yoon Jong, and Jo Gol—as recruitable companions. Expect to see free collaboration allies equipped with signature sword techniques from the original work, promising a rather distinctive combat flair alongside the Mount Hua crew.

In particular, limited costumes recreating the martial arts attire and hairstyles of Chung Myung, Baek Cheon, and Yu Iseol are on the way, while a log-in bonus handing out Yoon Jong for free after seven days of attendance is sorted. Alongside these, various items inspired by the source material, such as the Plum Blossom Sword and the Dark Fragrance White Plum Blossom, will make an appearance. A housing system themed around the Mount Hua Sect is also being prepped, allowing players to deck out their personal spaces with plum tree and Mount Hua peak skins, complete with special visits from Mount Hua companions. With collaboration-exclusive emojis, special storylines, and puzzle events, the sheer charm of Return of the Blossoming Blade is well and truly woven into the game.

To celebrate the collaboration, the pre-launch character customisation event dubbed Show Me the Customisation is expanding into Show Me the Customisation Plus. Running from October 28 to November 10, this event dangles a total prize pool worth 10 million KRW, including two-don gold bars. Characters created during this pre-launch phase can be linked after the official launch by entering a character code on the in-game event page, though do note that certain trial-version-exclusive costumes are excluded from the transfer.
