Global indie game publisher Devolver Digital released their latest cooperative FPS, MycoPunk: Fungi Busters, developed by Pigeons at Play, into Early Access on Steam on the 11th.

With an unknown fungal infection consuming the massive lunar metropolis of 'New Atlas', players are deployed to the front lines as members of the 'New Atlas Crisis Response Team', a squad made entirely of robots.

As players engage in various planetary missions to combat these fungal lifeforms, the mutated remains of fallen foes are absorbed by others, forcing them to evolve into more formidable threats. Simply blasting away won't suffice; players must analyze the specific types and traits of these space fungi to survive.

Players can mix and match over 60 different weapons to craft sci-fi super weapons. By combining upgraded abilities and gear, teams can execute tactical strategies. Between skirmishes, players can take a breather in the orbital dropship HUB to socialize with others.

MycoPunk is available in Early Access on Steam, with future updates slated to bring a wealth of additional weapons, regions, characters, and narrative content.
