Techland has decided to push back the release date of its upcoming zombie action survival title, Dying Light: The Beast, from the original August 22 slot to September 19. The reason is to improve the overall quality of the game.

In an official statement, Techland noted, "The recent previews have garnered a surprisingly positive response, sparking countless analyses and significant interest within the community." The developer added, "Our goal has always been to make Dying Light: The Beast the best experience possible, so we decided to delay the release until September 19 to provide extra polish." Techland also promised to use these additional four weeks to fine-tune the final details and keep players updated with regular development news throughout the summer.

Dying Light: The Beast takes place 21 years after the conclusion of the second game. The narrative sees the return of the original protagonist, Kyle Crane, as he struggles to preserve his humanity against the beast while navigating a tale of vengeance. Since announcing the release date at Summer Game Fest 2025 in June, the studio has showcased the general gameplay through media showcases.

Dying Light: The Beast will launch on September 19 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with full official support for the Korean language.
