Following the journey of Zagreus, the son of Hades, we are finally invited to step into the boots of the daughter, Melinoë.

Supergiant Games released the official launch trailer on the 12th, confirming a full release for September 25. Hades 2 arrives as the sequel to the original Hades, a title that holds an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating on Steam, boasting a 98% approval rate from over 262,671 user reviews. After a surprise Early Access launch in May 2024, the sequel once again plunges players into the Greek underworld to take on the Titan’s forces.

The teaser trailer released alongside the date announcement blends cinematic animation with fresh gameplay footage, culminating in the formal confirmation of the September 25 launch. A major quality-of-life upgrade for the full version is the inclusion of cross-save functionality between Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and the Steam version, which players can manage directly via the in-game menu.

Supergiant Games describes Hades 2 as "the largest project created to date." The developers expressed a sincere hope that the game stands as a worthy successor to the Hades legacy.
