Tweaking the Roaming Bosses of the Archipelago

The roaming bosses haunting the Black Night Archipelago pop up daily at 19:00 across the first to fourth archipelagos. Frankly, the effort-to-reward ratio was a bit of a headache, so Netmarble has stepped in to smooth things out. First off, the first archipelago boss, 'Tanka', has been reined in; he now only spawns on the first island, Garam, and the second, Yeoul, saving players from wandering aimlessly across the map.

The loot situation is looking a bit brighter, too. Previously, only the alliance member who landed the final blow walked away with the spoils, but now, participation rewards are handed out to everyone who joins the fray. Secure a spot in the top 30 for contribution, and you are guaranteed two Archipelago Treasure Chests. Furthermore, the alliance warehouse that claims the final blow now nets 30 of these chests. Unsurprisingly, the archipelago has become a rather competitive hotspot for those chasing that final hit.

Black Night Archipelago Opens on Boost Servers

The growth-focused Boost servers, which debuted last week, have just unlocked the Black Night Archipelago. This is a shared battlefield where players from the Thoros, Natheak, and Esku servers collide, offering a prime hunting ground stuffed with growth-boosting loot. Just a heads-up: unlike the standard servers, this area is only accessible on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 12:00 until midnight the following day. You will need to be level 65 or higher with a combat power of at least 28,200 to enter. Check the official forum update board for the nitty-gritty details.

Faction wars, which run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, require four participations a week to grab those juicy Honor Coins. If you find your progress stalled, the reason is simple: you need to earn at least one point to count as 'participating.' Whether it is destroying structures like walls and watchtowers, taking down the assault leader, finishing off enemy players, or knocking out a Thoros, there are plenty of ways to get on the scoreboard.

Q. Why does my faction point yield change when hunting at the altars?
A. Those golden monsters are affected by your level scaling settings.

The golden monsters found in Mihaze's hunting grounds are linked to your [Control]-[Level Scaling] settings, adjusting their level by -5, 0, or +5. This also applies to altar monsters in the Valley of Lament, Hanwool Ruins, Altar of Frost, and Altar of Fire. Because these are all considered golden monsters, your faction point rewards will fluctuate depending on how you have set your scaling. If you are hungry for more points, try tinkering with your level scaling.
