The October release 'Mimesis' is also showing real grit. It’s been steadily building its presence and finally claimed the 10th spot. It’s a co-op horror title where you face off against an AI that mimics player behavior. After a demo at the Steam Next Fest back in June, it’s now in Early Access, and its unique hook has gamers well and truly hooked.

Outside the Top 10, 'SANABI' was the star of the show, soaring 20 spots. The catalyst? The release of the side-story focusing on Major Song. It brought that signature pixel art charm but with a fresh feel to the controls and story that players are raving about. Plus, making the side-story free and tagging on a 35% discount for the base game didn't hurt its popularity one bit.
