If you recall, the previous round was a bit of a shambles due to some questionable matchmaking post-rule changes, leading to a noticeable dip in guild participation. To rectify this, the organizers doubled the crystal rewards for all battlefields—and it worked. We saw a healthy surge in engagement, breathing some much-needed life back into the weekly winner's chart. It feels like we finally got some proper competition again.

The heroes of the 35th Ancient Citadel are the serial winners of the Primordial Battlefield: ROYALMooShinA, Kings, Gzone, RoyalDanaekkeo, and MythRed. These guilds have firmly planted themselves in the Top 10 of the Ancient Citadel points table. Historically, the leaderboard was clogged with inactive 'retired' guilds, but it is refreshing to see active, hungry squads finally pushing them out. It has turned a once-stagnant Hall of Fame into a genuine arena of competition.

As for the Elemental Battlefield champions, 'Come play in Animal Crossing', one can’t help but feel a tinge of sympathy. They are easily one of the most consistent winning guilds currently active, yet they are still lacking those crucial points from the Primordial Battlefield. Here is hoping they conquer the higher-tier battlefields soon to climb that Ancient Citadel ladder.

Ancient Citadel Winner Rankings

Moving on to the overall points leaderboard, the Raven 2 active guilds have been systematically dismantling the old guard since November. RoyalDanaekkeo, Kings, and MythRed are leading the charge. RoyalDanaekkeo and Kings have climbed to 2nd and 3rd respectively, and they are eyeing the top spot. One more victory in the Primordial Battlefield, and they will effectively push the long-standing kings, BucksCoin, down to 3rd. They are on the precipice of greatness.

MythRed and ROYALMooShinA have also bolstered their standings with a Primordial win each. MythRed has jumped to 5th place with a record of '7 / 1 / 0 / 0', while ROYALMooShinA just managed to scrape into the Top 10. Then there is Gzone in 7th; they bagged a Primordial win too, but their total of 6 wins just wasn't enough to climb higher yet. Still, with their massive points haul from lower battlefields, they remain a force to be reckoned with. Expect them to climb soon.

Ancient Citadel Content Analysis

On December 17, Raven 2 dropped a massive update. We are talking Abyss Floor 4, new item collection rewards, potentials, and a rework of the relic enhancement system. The real kicker, however, is the legendary skills dropped by the new field boss 'Shadow of Disaster Morgast' on Abyss Floor 4. Effectively, every class can now wield two legendary skills. We are seeing effects like immortality, immunity to crowd control, reduced damage resistance for foes, and heavenstone skill sealing. These are going to be absolute game-changers in the Ancient Citadel. Expect a bloodbath on Abyss Floor 4 as everyone scrambles to get their hands on these upgrades.

PVP Ranking Status

Last week, we saw a monster ranker hit 247 kills, with the rest of the Top 5 sitting comfortably between 46 and 64—mostly from the Terra world. This week, however, the numbers have come back down to earth. The top rankers have shifted to Mare and Nox, suggesting the heat in Terra has finally died down. We have VC KkotMae and VC RangKom from the Veteran Club (God-teran Alliance), and ShikInHoRang from the Zoo guild (Dokkaebi Alliance). Perhaps the Veterans and the Zoo were having a scrap? As for GreenLantern in 4th, they are flying solo without an alliance, and with only two PVP rankers on the server at the time of recording, it seems more like a bit of casual PK than a proper war.
