Elysia and Trude are currently holding the 1st and 2nd spots, exerting considerable influence. Thanks to their versatility, they are not just staples in offensive decks, but are also being scouted for Platon magic decks and defensive teams. Amidst this, a new hero, Freyja, has arrived. Let's examine her initial pick rates and how the arena meta is shifting through our team composition statistics.

Magic decks rise again with the addition of 'Freyja'

The new magic-type hero Freyja has had a promising start. Upon release, she recorded a 43.3% pick rate, landing in 5th place overall. She holds the highest pick rate among magic-type heroes, effectively cementing her status as an essential unit for any magic deck.

The heroes who benefited most from Freyja’s arrival are Kiriel and Yeonhee. Kiriel’s pick rate rose by 3.3% points, while Yeonhee saw a 5.7% point jump. Notably, Yeonhee had been absent from the charts for quite a while, but she has finally made a comeback, tying with Rudy for 14th place.

The aforementioned magic-type heroes have taken on the role of boosting firepower around Freyja. Kiriel, in particular, handles healing suppression and shows great synergy with Freyja's health conversion mechanics. They seem to be finding success against Trude, who currently reigns supreme in the arena meta. As magic decks are still being refined, it will be fascinating to see how the trend evolves before the next new hero arrives.

The era of the solo damage dealer is over!

With a surge of powerful heroes, the competitive landscape of SKRB is changing rapidly. Recent arena feedback suggests that running a solo main damage dealer is becoming increasingly difficult. Consequently, players are experimenting with 2-3 damage dealer combinations or even 4-dealer setups using durable heroes like Platon.

Due to this shift, the Balanced formation, which allows for two main damage dealers, has taken the lead with an overwhelming 61.3% pick rate—an 8.7% point increase from last week. Furthermore, the Basic formation, which allows for three damage dealers, saw a slight uptick of 1.0%, bringing it to 5.3%. On the pet pick rate chart, Yeonji has re-entered the rankings, likely due to Freyja’s influence, sitting in 3rd place between Lu and Pike with 13.3%.

High firepower, but the 'Trude & Kyle' offensive deck is shaky

The Kyle offensive deck, which has dominated the meta for about three weeks, remains our Best Pick of the Week. It’s a composition that balances offense and defense well, featuring Kyle’s early burst damage, Kagura and Elysia for support, and the reliable late-game powerhouse Trude. The only flaw is the ambiguous role of Phee and the difficulty of leveling her up. While the latter is an inherent trait of old Seven Knights heroes, Phee simply struggles to shine in this specific meta.

Rankers are currently looking for ways to replace Phee, and Freyja seems to be the answer. The strategy involves swapping Phee for Colt to maintain a three-attacker setup while replacing Elysia with Freyja. Although this makes the composition harder to pilot, the sheer firepower advantage is undeniable. If you can manage a speed-focused setting, it’s surprisingly potent.

Total War Pick of the Week

11th Round sole 1st place 'Yangnyeom Galbi'

With Freyja’s addition, the 25-hero entries for Total War have become highly diverse. We analyzed the 5-team composition of 'Yangnyeom Galbi', who currently holds the top spot in the 11th round. The order is: Freyja magic deck, Jave defense deck, Kyle offensive deck, Platon magic deck, and Kris instant-death deck.

In the Freyja magic deck, Silvester is positioned as a secondary dealer. When Freyja reaches 6-transcendence, she can utilize skill chaining mechanisms similar to Silvester’s. While it might look like a gimmick at first glance, the actual firepower it unleashes against opponents is staggering. The fight likely starts with Freyja’s health conversion, and while the exact sequence is hard to predict, it’s clear that any skill used in this setup provides a massive advantage.

Additionally, with Freyja completing one magic deck, the Platon magic deck composition now has more breathing room. Kiriel and Juri, who offer high-value skill effects for Melcure’s magic reversal, have been slotted in, with Amelia filling the final spot. Both magic decks now have their firepower distributed quite effectively.

Seven Knights Re:BIRTH User Poll

In our last poll, we gauged the excitement surrounding the 2025 Seven Knights Festival held last weekend.
