On the 19th, 'Dragon Flight 2' rolled out a major update featuring the new character Shasha, a new dungeon dubbed 'Lightning Trial', plus a suite of new content, achievements, a skin system, and quality-of-life improvements. The update also eases the grind and adds new ways to farm resources, supporting players in developing their characters.

First up is the arrival of the lightning-attuned character, Shasha. A mischievous engineer by concept, Shasha is a lightning-element character who uses piercing projectiles. With her skill 'Emergency Repair' and hyper skill 'Extermination: Drill', she also possesses the ability to stun enemies, making her a useful pick for clearing high-tier stages. Along with the character's release, story chapters 1-3 detailing her background have been added, providing more content to enjoy.

To obtain Shasha, you can try your luck with the limited-time character summon. By collecting 50 'Shasha's Will' tokens obtained during summoning, you can unlock the character for immediate use. The character summon event is available from after the maintenance on Friday, December 19th, until before the maintenance on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026.

The new dungeon 'Lightning Trial' has also opened. As one of the Elemental Trials, the Lightning Trial is a type of daily dungeon that can only be entered on Fridays. Clearing stage 7 rewards you with 'Shasha's Will'. Additionally, all Elemental Trials will be open on December 19th, the day of the update. If you have successfully unlocked Shasha, take this opportunity to conquer all the Elemental Trials.

Various system improvements have been made for the convenience of Dragon Flight 2 players. First, a 'Character Level Reset' feature has been added. Using a reset ticket returns 100% of the resources used for character growth, such as Dragon Breath, Elemental Breakthrough Stones, and Gold. The 'Essence of Potential' used for leveling is also returned as the corresponding elemental essence for that character. Reset tickets can be obtained through shop purchases or event rewards, and to commemorate this update, one 'Character Level Reset Ticket' is being provided to all users.

A 'Skin System' has also been introduced, allowing players to customize their characters' appearances. In time for the Christmas season, Santa-themed skins for Aria and Hyacinth have been added. Both of these new skins can be obtained through the 'Christmas Pass'.

There are also improvements to reduce the burden of gameplay. Changes have been made so that hearts are not consumed upon failing a flight, reducing the pressure of retries, and the balance of Extreme Mode and Meteor Rush Hell Mode has been adjusted to create a more comfortable play environment. Furthermore, new achievements that grant Crystals based on Shasha's growth and the number of Lightning Trial clears are expected to resolve frustrations regarding resource acquisition.
