Which Boss Left a Scar on Your Memory?

The final event of 2025 has certainly kept the 'Ongoing Events' board buzzing. GM Harin posed a simple, yet nostalgic question: which dungeon or raid boss from the past year left the deepest impression on you? It has become a cathartic space for players to brag about hard-won victories or share the agony of being hopelessly trapped in a dungeon.

The 'Tell us your most memorable boss!' board is currently flooded with names. From the infamously punishing 'Frost Demon' that haunted us in the early update days, to 'Jinsoyun', and finally the 2025 grand finale, 'Pacheon Emperor'—it seems every boss under the sun has been summoned. Players are sharing screenshots and harrowing tales of their struggle, fostering a genuine sense of camaraderie through shared trauma.

The event concludes on January 12 at 23:59. Fifty lucky participants, chosen via a draw, will be rewarded with 500 Black Stones. Don't forget, if you want to enter, you must attach a dungeon screenshot that clearly displays your character's name to prove you were actually there.

Q. What exactly is the 'Protective' state?
A. It is your final line of defense to prevent being knocked out.

A newcomer to Blade & Soul Revolution named 'Ujeong' reached out, feeling a bit confused about the 'Protective' state. It seems they recently surpassed the Hongmun level and unlocked the 'Protective Spirit' skill. They were worried because they couldn't consume potions once their health bar turned yellow.

Players 'oPaSuno' and 'Pansa' stepped in with detailed explanations, and judging by Ujeong’s follow-up, the concept seems to have clicked. To elaborate: the Protective state is your last-ditch effort to stave off defeat when you would otherwise be knocked out. You unlock this mechanic as soon as you learn the passive skill 'Protective Spirit' at Hongmun Level 1.

While in this state, your survival depends on your 'Protective Ki'. Since your actual health has bottomed out, health potions are useless; the only way to recover is to exit combat entirely. Just keep in mind that your Protective Ki does not regenerate while you are in the heat of battle.

GM Harin has one more trick up their sleeve for the turn of the year. 'Good Bye 2025, Welcome 2026!' is a place to celebrate your best moments of 2025 and share your hopes for 2026. Participating is as simple as leaving a comment on the event notice.

Two hundred winners will be drawn to receive 500 'Legendary Entry Ticket Fragments', and the player with the most inspiring wish will receive a special prize of 3 'Ancient Blessing Stones'. The event runs from December 30 to January 12, so head over to the 'Ongoing Events' section of the official community and get your entries in before the clock runs out.

If you had to pick a race in Blade & Soul Revolution that everyone adores, it would undoubtedly be the Lyn. For those who prioritize a cute aesthetic, the charm of the Lyn is so potent that they wouldn't even consider playing a class if it weren't available to them. This week and next, we are dedicating our Nonogram challenge to crafting the Lyn emblem.

Despite their adorable appearance, this puzzle is quite the challenge. We’ve filled every nook and cranny to keep the design balanced. The top-left corner features 10 as its largest number, which might slow your progress early on. Pro tip: focus on the rows containing both 9 and 8 to eliminate impossible squares; it makes the difficulty much more manageable. Take your time and solve it step-by-step.

Filling the Frame! 'Lyn Blade Dancer'

Since we chose the Lyn emblem for our Nonogram, it is only fitting that our wallpaper features the Lyn Blade Dancer. As the second class released exclusively for the Lyn race following the Summoner, it arrived on November 28, 2019, making it a bit of a classic among players these days.
