Pearl Abyss announced on the 21st that its new action-adventure title, 'Crimson Desert', has officially gone gold. Going gold means the master build of the game is complete, signaling that it has entered the final stages of release.

Through its official social media channels, the team stated, "Thanks to our fans across the globe who have supported Crimson Desert, we have taken the final step toward launch," adding, "We will be waiting for you on the continent of Pywel on March 20."

Crimson Desert has showcased playable demos at major global gaming events, including G-Star, The Game Awards, GDC (Game Developers Conference), Summer Game Fest (SGF), ChinaJoy (CJ), Gamescom, TwitchCon, PAX East and West, and the Tokyo Game Show (TGS).

Set on the continent of Pywel, this open-world action-adventure game follows the journey of the protagonist, Kliff, and his Greymane allies. The game features an open world built on a proprietary engine, high levels of interactive freedom, realistic high-quality graphics, and dynamic action and combat.

First announced seven years ago in 2019, Crimson Desert is set to launch on PC and consoles on March 20. Pre-orders are currently available via the official website, and the game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Mac, and the Epic Games Store.
