Naturally, the official lounge is currently less concerned with the lore and more obsessed with crunching the numbers on her kit. Her unique skill set has already sparked quite a debate regarding her performance in the arena. Let’s dive into the latest on our new hero and the week's community buzz.

How does Palanus fare in the Arena?

The final piece of the current Dark Knights puzzle—and their leader—is finally here. There was plenty of speculation regarding her role, but she has arrived as a Universal type, keeping faithful to the original source material. The developers tipped us off in the dev notes beforehand, which certainly kept expectations high.

At the time, the team pitched her as a 'key card' designed to be strategically slotted into various specialized decks. Consequently, the first order of business for our adventurers was testing whether she lived up to that promise of versatility.The consensus from the official lounge is, well, a bit lukewarm. Many feel she’s currently trapped by the requirement to field Defense and Support types, making her a tough sell if you aren’t already running a defensive setup.

One adventurer, 'Geudaereul', claims to be enjoying a 9-1 win rate after slotting a 12-transcendence Palanus into their well-oiled defensive team. They were initially skeptical, fearing she lacked impact, but the combination of damage, tanking, and sustain has pushed them into the top 100. Their setup? A Balanced formation with Palanus and Sun Wukong in the rear, supported by Karma, Rudy, and Alice. Q. My hero codex is missing too many entries.
A. Check the evolution grades of your new heroes.

The new territory has brought a swathe of characters, including Cho Seon and Zhao Yun. Typically, when a new area drops, we see a flood of Rare-grade heroes and 'fodder' units. This time is no exception, with three new 'Dragon, Phoenix, and Jiang' units added to the mix.

It’s a classic question that pops up every time: the hero codex. A user named 'Lee Guyeokui Gunju 7195' flagged this recently, noting they’d collected everyone except for Milia and Cho Seon, yet the codex still showed a massive gap. The screenshot provided showed 20 missing entries.

This usually happens because the game accounts for every star level. If you're missing Milia, you're effectively missing three entries (4, 5, and 6-star versions). If you're still missing 20, it means you've likely overlooked those new fodder units or haven't yet awakened specific heroes to their 5 or 6-star states. Time to go hunting.

Palanus Launch 'Attendance Event'

To celebrate the arrival of the Dark Knights' leader, a special attendance event is underway. From the maintenance on January 22 to February 19, logging in for just 7 days will net you the rare 'King of Doom' costume for Palanus. Stick it out for 10 days, and you'll snag 30 Hero Summon Tickets, followed by 15 Pet Summon Tickets on day 12. There’s also a mountain of resources like 16 Essences of Chaos and 3 Pooki Badges to help with growth and gear settings. Don't miss out.

Recruiting for guild content! 'Jorim'

The 'Jorim' guild is looking for fresh blood. They pride themselves on a relaxed atmosphere where everyone pulls their weight—a philosophy that has clearly paid off. Having cracked the top 100 in Guild War seasons 1 and 2, they surged to 50th place in season 3. They aim for top 50 across all guild content, but they aren't exactly running a boot camp; that 'everyone does their part' motto is the glue holding them together.

Given their pedigree, the entry requirements are a bit steep. You'll need to be in the top 2.5% of Total War, maintain an average of 3 million points in the Advent Expedition, and own at least four 6-star pets with completed Potential. With a veteran guild master at the helm, it’s a great spot if you’re looking to theorycraft and learn. Search for 'Jorim' on the official lounge to apply.

The chaotic experimenter 'Melkire'

With Palanus arriving, the Dark Knights are finally complete—at least according to the current codex. Original fans might argue that there's more to the story, and they’d be right; Seven Knights Re:BIRTH might still have a few plot twists up its sleeve. For now, however, the roster is full.

To celebrate, the 'Sinner's Devotee' costume series is currently all the rage. Following Colt and Platin, the likes of Branz & Bransel, Melkire, and Palanus have received some sharp new duds.
