Heroes from the masterpiece of fantasy literature are coming to Summoners War: Sky Arena.

Com2uS announced on the 27th that it has released a developer video on its official YouTube channel ahead of the Summoners War and The Lord of the Rings collaboration. Com2uS had previously teased a massive update scheduled for the 30th.

The developer video details the production process and behind-the-scenes stories of the collaboration. It showcases how iconic characters from The Lord of the Rings, such as Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, and Gollum, were reimagined as Summoners War characters. The development team explained that they focused on watercolor-style textures and hand-drawn density to capture the feel of original concept art.

The video also highlights animations that maximize each character's personality. Features such as Aragorn’s skill to summon the Army of the Dead and Gollum’s stone-throwing attacks drew significant attention. Furthermore, the video introduced diverse content that captures the essence of the original work, including an event dungeon set in Mordor, a mini-game featuring Gandalf’s riddles, and a 'Find the Ring' event in the Arena.

The development team stated, "We have reinterpreted the iconic characters and the grand world of the original work through the unique lens of Summoners War. We hope you enjoy exploring the vast world of The Lord of the Rings within Summoners War through this collaboration."
