It is time for the [Meca Ranking] of 'Blade & Soul Revolution'. With the 'Revolution Challenge Season 7' on the horizon, we are in a relatively stagnant period regarding class distribution shifts. However, the upward trajectory of popular classes remains relentless. The Dual Blade maintains the top spot with a 0.6% point increase, while the Gunslinger showed a sharp rise of 2.1% points. It seems combat power rankers are flocking back to the meta-defining classes.

You can easily spot this trend by looking at the tail end of our ranker class distribution chart. The combined share of classes ranked 11th to 24th—essentially those outside the spotlight—has dropped by 2% points. In short, the popular classes have gobbled up that market share. The divide between the 'haves' and 'have-nots' in the tier list is only getting wider.

In the combat power fluctuation table, the decline of the Warlock is quite striking. Both categories saw a drop of 11 players each, with combat power following suit. While there is some fluctuation, the downward trend is consistent. This stands in stark contrast to the Gunslinger and Dual Blade, which are steadily building momentum. The Dual Blade, in particular, is in incredible form, boasting an attack power roughly 420,000 higher than the overall average—a clear sign that it is the top pick for serious rankers.

The Destroyer is also showing a fierce upward trend, albeit not quite as aggressive as the Dual Blade. Seven players joined the attack power category, and five joined the defense power category this time. Its combat power remains slightly above the average, putting it within striking distance of the Archer’s 3rd place spot. With a mere 0.5% point gap, the tables could turn at any moment.

New Server 'UnsuDaetong' Level/Attack Power Rankings and Class Preferences

The new server 'UnsuDaetong' has opened its gates. It is quite rare to see a new server launch with jump-character benefits rather than just a boosting server. Given the long wait, the perks are substantial: new characters start at Hongmun level 60—a 10-level boost. Furthermore, they begin with basic martial arts at level 20, martial arts potential at stage 15, and the 3rd volume/2nd chapter of Hongmun Arts completed, significantly lowering the barrier for new and returning players.

The chart above reflects data from the third day of the server's opening. The Top 10 level rankings are already saturated with Hongmun level 71 players. However, the peak attack power remains under 2 million, sitting at 1.759 million. It seems everyone is prioritising growth over pure combat power. As seen in the chart, the top rankers represent a diverse mix of classes, from Dual Blade to Bard. Much like the senior servers, ranged classes hold a slight edge; among the top 200 by level, the Dual Blade accounts for 16.5% and the Gunslinger 16%.

Mythical Guardian Spirit Special Option Statistics

The battle for 2nd place among Mythical Guardian Spirits is taking a breather this week. Both Torimwang and Seonghwajo have seen a steady, quiet rise, maintaining their positions. Watching them from the top is Jecheon Daeseong, which holds its 1st place spot firmly without any fluctuation.

While those at the top are comfortable, Duoksini and Cheonbingho are having a rougher time, both seeing a decline. The former fell by 4% points, the latter by 2% points, leaving them barely clinging to their ranks. Despite the low percentages, they remain in their spots simply because there are no serious challengers to displace them.

Guardian Deity Combination Statistics based on Leader

The ancient Guardian Deity leaders are mirroring the trend of the Guardian Spirits. The stats for Fleet Admiral Eun Gwang-il and Awakened Pohwaran are stable with a concurrent rise, while Mukwha Witch Jin Seo-yeon spent the week without any changes. Conversely, Yeokwang Hong Seok-geun and Awakened Erna saw a slight dip. While not enough to flip the rankings, the gap is widening, much like with the Guardian Spirits.

Furthermore, the previous update introduced new competition. Three ancient-grade Guardian Deities—'General Ryeo, Fairy Jess, and Illusionist Tehon'—have arrived, complicating the landscape. We haven't spotted many rankers using them in live combat just yet, but Fairy Jess, equipped with PvP attack and penetration, is one to watch. She is a new face that Awakened Erna, who occupies a similar position, needs to keep an eye on.

Ranker Setup of the Week

The protagonist of the first Revolution Challenge match, 'Ban Ha-jin'

The upcoming Revolution Challenge Season 7 features a massive match right from the first round of the main tournament. A civil war between 'Hot Deal' and 'Hot Deal Kkam-sang Tto-mu-gwa' is set to take place. With a combined personal combat power exceeding 12 million, and both teams hailing from the same server and clan, this is being hailed as a clash between heavy-weight title contenders. The 16-team A-group opener promises to be a legendary battle.

The class matchup is 'Blade Master/Dual Blade vs Warlock/Dual Blade.' Ban Ha-jin, the Warlock in the latter team, is our focus for today's setup analysis. We caught a glimpse of his preparations ahead of the match. While the Warlock has recently seen a slight power dip due to balance adjustments, the fact that he hasn't switched classes suggests he is focusing on synergy with the Dual Blade.

His equipment philosophy focuses heavily on survivability. For high-efficiency attack gear, he has prioritised penetration, PvP attack, and accuracy, while choosing options that bolster recovery—similar to his Guardian Deity setup—to stay in the fight longer. It isn't a setup tailored to counter a specific class, but rather one aimed at overall stat balance. He is using the 'Jin-hyeon/Suri' martial arts badge combo, a favourite for Warlocks, but swapping Suri for 'Spiral/Heavenly' shows a dual-purpose approach to both offence and defence.

Last week's poll gauged the excitement for the January update. As the update focused largely on convenience, the votes were spread out. The most anticipated feature was the 'Emphasis on Invincibility Martial Arts Effects,' followed by the 'Removal of Effect Visuals,' both aimed at providing clearer status updates during chaotic battles. These garnered 43.9% and 26.8% of the votes, respectively. Since the update is now live, players are likely feeling the impact in real-time.
