The server migration for Raven 2 concluded on 27 January, and let's be honest, it has left quite a mark on the ecosystem. We have seen significant swings in class rankings and distribution across numerous servers, sending the overall class chart into a tizzy. In the heat of this shuffle, melee classes like the Berserker, Vanguard, and Assassin have muscled their way into the Top 5 most popular classes in the Korean region. The Berserker and Vanguard, in particular, are enjoying a notable surge in standing.

This melee resurgence is plain to see in the server-specific popularity charts as well. Berserkers, Vanguards, and Assassins have frequently claimed the third spot, with some even climbing to second place. Case in point: Lux-Salus is currently dominated by the Berserker, while the Vanguard holds the reins in Sol-Honour.

The tug-of-war for the top spot between the Night Ranger and the Divine Caster has also reignited. While the Night Ranger had been holding the crown for a while, the Divine Caster suddenly saw a massive spike in dominance across Lux, Nox, and Terra. However, looking at the overall class chart, the Divine Caster’s total market share remains unchanged. It seems rather than a global shift, we are simply seeing the high-rankers congregating on specific servers.

Furthermore, brace yourselves, as the Meca Ranking chart is poised for a real shake-up starting in February. On 29 January, a New Year Developer Live Stream dropped some critical intel. February will bring a class change feature, and March is scheduled for server integration. To top it all off, May marks the second anniversary of Raven 2, which is when the new Warlord class is expected to make its debut. Rest assured, I will be keeping a close eye on these key developments.

Overall Class Analysis

In the overall class category, the melee contingent is enjoying its golden age since the launch of Raven 2. For the first time, the Berserker, Vanguard, and Assassin have all entered the Top 5. The Berserker climbed a spot, pushing the Death Bringer down, while the Vanguard saw a two-rank jump. To be precise, the Vanguard and Assassin are now tied for fifth place due to shifting shares. However, this shared seat looks rather precarious, as the Gunslinger is breathing down their necks, trailing by a mere 0.3 percentage points. I, for one, am looking forward to the fierce competition between these three.

Global Class Analysis

The Raven 2 global region has seen its fair share of drama, too. The Divine Caster’s share dipped by 1.4 percentage points, while the Night Ranger surged by 2. For any other class, such a swing would be catastrophic, but the fact that their rankings haven't budged an inch speaks volumes about their overwhelming popularity. It seems their thrones are safe for the foreseeable future.

The mid-tier rankings are defined by the Gunslinger’s decline. A 0.4 percentage point drop caused them to slide from third to fifth place. This handed a nice bit of collateral benefit to the Assassin and Death Bringer, who both moved up a notch. It’s a pity about the Berserker’s shrinking slice of the pie, though; had that not happened, they would have been within 0.4 percentage points of the falling Gunslinger, potentially setting the stage for a spectacular turnaround. I’ll be watching next week to see if they can replicate the rank-climbing success seen in the Korean region.

Guild Dungeon Ranking Records

Moving on to the Raven 2 guild dungeon rankings, we saw the number of tracked guilds plummet from 380 to 145 this week. This is the inevitable result of the guild dungeon season ending right as the server migration kicked off. With 37 days remaining in the new season as of 30 January, we are looking at this lasting until March.

The number of guilds conquering the 5th tier remains at 18, same as last week’s count. However, the clear records are all over the place. We have a messy mix of veteran rankers who dropped off the charts and newcomers taking their place. Optimization hasn’t quite set in yet. A prime example is the first-place MythRed versus the 15th-place RoyalMine. RoyalMine once held the top spot with a 7-minute clear on tier 5, but after the records were reset, they are languishing in 15th with a time of 14 minutes and 33 seconds. Meanwhile, MythRed snatched the season's first crown with a time of 8 minutes and 24 seconds.

Raven 2 Meca Ranking User Poll

Here are the results from last week’s Raven 2 Meca Ranking poll. We were chatting about the marketplace, so we asked you what the 'most important aspect of the marketplace' is. The winner, by an overwhelming margin, was 'We need individual trading features.' Curiously, during the 29 January New Year live stream, the developers announced that individual trading is coming in the second quarter. Well, it seems we stumbled into a win by accident. Who knew such coincidences could happen?

This week’s poll topic is pulled straight from that same live stream. Raven 2 announced that server integration will take place on 5 March. They plan to reduce the Korean region by one world and the global region by two. Each server’s data within a world will be merged into another.
