What a start to the new year! The Blade Master duo 'Nevada·DungeonMain' has finally cracked the 12-second mark. Their final time of 12.455 seconds comfortably beats the previous record of 13.143 seconds by a staggering 0.688 seconds, claiming the top spot in the process.

Looking back at January, the scene had been stagnant since the first week. We had some balance adjustments that threw a wrench in the works, leaving many wondering if the old records were even beatable. Many assumed the month would close with the original times holding firm, but this duo pulled off a last-minute miracle, turning the leaderboard on its head.

The former leaders, 'Ppagguyanolja·LupinOl', finished in second without improving their time. Meanwhile, 'AnpangOl·LupinOl' managed to shave time off their own record but remained in third. For the ever-active LupinOl, the record set alongside Ppagguyanolja remains their high-water mark at 13.143 seconds.

The rising tide of the 'Flying Dagger Master'

The number of players clocking in under the 1 minute 30 second threshold has officially surpassed 600. This week’s chart features 647 players, an increase of 69 from last week. We usually hover in the high 500s for end-of-month tallies, so seeing a new record for participation alongside a new speed record is quite the achievement.

The Flying Dagger Master dominated January, finishing the month with a 24.4% share. The Gunslinger follows closely, maintaining over 20% despite a slight dip. While neither class dominates the absolute peak of the leaderboard, their consistency is undeniable. However, the Blade Master, sitting at 8.8%, continues to prove that it is the top choice for those chasing peak performance in these dungeons.

The precarious state of the Ghostblade, with 'PureunAjae' standing as the final guardian

The top 3 charts are bustling with activity across all classes, save for one. The Ghostblade is the only one of the 24 classes with empty slots. Aside from the steadfast 'PureunAjae' in Gyeonggukjisaek, no new challengers have emerged, and with his time stuck at 1 minute 26.066 seconds, the category closed the month without any significant movement.

No class is in a tougher spot than the Ghostblade, but we must also keep an eye on the Warrior, Vajra, Bard, and Miho Sword, who are all skating on thin ice. Specifically, for the Miho Sword, only the player 'Kkamppang' from Yuadokjon is keeping the class relevant; the other two ranked players are currently clocking in over a minute. They will need to pick up the pace to stay on the board.

The Warrior faces a similar struggle, but at least they have a veteran presence. 'JeoksaekBaram' has been wielding the Hwando for quite some time now, serving as a pillar for the class. Their time remains comfortably under 20 seconds, ensuring the class stays grounded for now.
