Valve is running the 'Steam Typing Fest' from February 6th until 3:00 AM on February 10th. It is an event featuring games where you play by typing words displayed on the screen. A wide variety of titles are participating, ranging from laid-back experiences like writing letters to high-stakes battle royales where a failure to decrypt a code could cost you your life.

The selection includes 'Typing Land' with its 40 mini-games, the increasingly bizarre administrative work of 'DEAD LETTER DEPT.', the Greek mythology-themed 'God of Word', and 'The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia', which demands you dodge bullet-hell patterns while typing out exorcism spells.

The list goes on with 'MINDHACK', a game about hacking villains' minds through text; 'Epistory - Typing Chronicles', an adventure in an origami world; 'Wagotabi: A Japanese Journey' for those looking to learn Japanese while playing; and the delightful 'Bongo Cat', where you rack up points by hammering away at your keys.

This 'Steam Typing Fest' is part of Valve's new 'Spotlight Festival' initiative for this year, designed to dive deep into specific themes for a limited run. Following the Typing Fest, the Horse Game Fest is scheduled for February 19th to 23rd, followed by a Hidden Object Game Fest from April 9th to 13th. Additionally, the major 'Steam Next Fest' is scheduled to take place from February 23rd to March 2nd.
