Thanks to a special event allowing every player to unlock her up to Transcendence 2, she’s hit the ground running, shifting the meta for both the 'Steel Predator' raid and 'Advent Expedition' teams. A. She is a main damage dealer capable of dishing out massive damage to single targets.

Think of So-kyo as the spiritual successor to 'Pascal' in terms of positioning—a heavy-hitter for single targets. The difference? You can snag So-kyo at Transcendence 2 through the 'Second Hero Expedition' event. While Pascal focuses entirely on his own damage, crit, and staying alive, So-kyo plays a more supportive role, weakening the enemy while buffing your team. Players are already cooking up new tactics for the Advent Expedition using her.

Her core skills are 'Bamboo Shoot,' which deals extra defense-ignoring damage when landing a Weak Point attack, and 'Butterfly Dream,' which applies Magic Vulnerability to foes while boosting the magic attack power of your allies. It’s a versatile toolkit that fits the current meta perfectly.

Bamboo Shoot isn't just about ignoring defense; it also cleanses two debuffs from all allies. It’s a tailor-made solution for the Steel Predator raid, where defense-reduction debuffs are the name of the game. The scaling is impressive, too: 270% base damage plus an additional 215% defense-ignoring damage on a Weak Point hit. If you land a crit, expect the damage numbers to go through the roof.

Butterfly Dream buffs the two allies with the highest attack power with a 3-turn magic attack boost, all while striking an enemy. Once you hit Transcendence 6, it grants an additional 46% Crit Damage. In raids and expeditions, this buff usually lands on herself or your primary DPS.

Her passive, 'Princess of the Battlefield,' grants immunity to Paralysis and shields the entire team based on her attack power whenever she uses a skill. At Transcendence 2, you get a 29% boost to her Weak Point attack rate. As we’ll see later, this is a massive help in hitting that 100% Weak Point threshold. Note that she also boosts magic damage taken by enemies, not just raw magic attack power.

Q. What are So-kyo’s key buffs and debuffs?
A. Paralysis immunity and Magic Vulnerability.

So-kyo’s bread and butter are the aforementioned Paralysis immunity and Magic Vulnerability. Paralysis immunity is exactly what it says on the tin—your team won't be stopped in their tracks. While Paralysis sees some play in the Arena, the current meta is dominated by Lu Bu’s Stun and Sun Wukong’s Petrify. She’s better suited for the Steel Predator raid, so feel free to swap out Victoria for her.

Magic Vulnerability boosts the damage you and your other magic dealers can output. While the stat values don't scale with skill upgrades or transcendence, its impact in expeditions and raids is undeniable. Keep in mind that 'Defense Ignore' is a skill property, not a buff.

Q. How should I set up So-kyo's equipment?
A. Build her with the Avenger set, targeting 61% Weak Point attack rate and at least 80% Crit Rate.

Thanks to her passive and Transcendence 4 stats, reaching those caps is easier than it looks. You only need 61% from gear at Transcendence 2, or 41% at Transcendence 4. If you're struggling to survive in the Steel Predator raid, toss in two pieces of the 'Gatekeeper' set. At Stage 15, the boss hits hard enough that So-kyo might fold without some extra defense, which is why we recommend 'Damage Reduction' as a primary armor stat.
