NHN announced on the 9th that its mobile title, Hangame Seotda & Matgo, is rolling out a welcome event for its newest adult demographic: those born in 2007. Alongside this, the company is bolstering the Lunar New Year holiday with a time-bonus event that offers enhanced rewards for logging in.

Hangame Seotda & Matgo is a staple in the Go-Stop genre, maintaining a broad player base across generations. Notably, the 20s and 30s demographic accounts for nearly 60% of its users. NHN explained that this rookie event is designed to help these new adults settle into the game comfortably.

The '2007 Rookie Welcome Event' is straightforward to participate in. Every player born in 2007 is eligible for a 'Rookie Welcome Package' and a voucher for a 'Nongshim Yukgaejang' cup noodle. The package includes 100 million 'Jjeon' (in-game currency), a 90-day limited 'Chick' character, a 'Chick' waistcoat, and a set of Godori emoticons to assist with early gameplay. These items can be claimed by tapping 'Claim Reward' on the event pop-up after logging in.

The Nongshim Yukgaejang voucher is a guaranteed gift for anyone who enters, limited to one per account via the same pop-up. These will be sent out in batches after the event concludes. Additionally, completing a survey nets users an extra 300 million 'Jjeon', and in celebration of the 2007 Year of the Golden Pig, one lucky survey participant will be drawn to win a 1-don (3.75g) gold pig figurine.

Meanwhile, Hangame Seotda & Matgo will run a time-bonus event from February 13th to February 18th for the Lunar New Year holiday. Players who log in between 8 PM and 11 PM will receive enhanced rewards compared to standard offerings. "We aim to increase player satisfaction through events that provide benefits simply by logging in during the holiday," added Choi.
