Grasshopper Manufacture's new title, 'ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN', officially launched on the 11th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

This title is a third-person action-adventure set in a fictional universe where space-time has collapsed. You step into the shoes of Romeo Stargazer, embarking on a quest to find a missing lover and restore cosmic order. True to Goichi Suda’s signature style, the game delivers the kind of outrageous action and bloody visuals that have defined his previous works.

The plot kicks off when a catastrophic accident shatters the fabric of reality. Our protagonist, having been resurrected from the brink of death through special technology, realizes his lover Juliet’s disappearance is inextricably linked to the collapse. He joins the space-time police force under the FBI to hunt down criminals while simultaneously tracking her down. His grandfather—a scientist who tags along in a rather bizarre form—acts as your guide. The narrative, filled with multi-layered dimensions and grotesque mutants, is designed to keep players on edge throughout.

The combat is all about high-speed action that blends blade and firearm. You can absorb enemy blood to trigger a 'Bloody Summer'—a special move that is as brutal as it is flashy. You’ll also be managing a unique system involving home-grown lifeforms that assist in battle. Interestingly, difficulty is chosen by comparing it to types of chocolate, a permanent decision you cannot reverse once set. Should you meet an untimely end, a 'Wheel of Fortune' mechanic grants random buffs to help you get back on your feet.

Visually, the game is an experimental melting pot. It mixes 3D graphics with comic book aesthetics, pixel art, and retro comic styles. Even amidst the carnage, the developers have added flower pollen and spark effects to create a uniquely surreal atmosphere.
