SteelSeries announced on the 11th that it has launched the Nimbus Cloud, the world's first dual-mode cloud gaming controller, in the domestic market. The controller supports a dual-mode feature that can be used on all types of devices, from mobile devices to full-sized rigs, and is designed to be optimized for cloud gaming environments, allowing users to enjoy games anytime, anywhere.

The Nimbus Cloud features an ergonomic, full-sized controller design to reduce user fatigue during long gaming sessions. It also provides precise control by incorporating high-end Hall effect sensors in the triggers and thumbsticks for an immersive gaming experience. The controller is compatible with various platforms, including PCs, Chromebooks, and smart TVs, and includes several rubber inserts for easy connection with iPhones and Android phones. In particular, it allows for seamless integration with Apple ecosystem devices, including the iPhone 15 and 16 series, iPad, MacBook, and Apple TV.

The Nimbus Cloud controller is designed to allow up to 20 hours of continuous wireless Bluetooth gaming via its built-in battery. It also enhances user convenience by supporting pass-through charging via a USB-C cable during gameplay. SteelSeries stated that it has participated in sustainable and responsible production by using post-consumer recycled materials for this product.

Hye-kyung Lee, General Manager of SteelSeries Korea, stated, "In line with the growth of the cloud gaming market, we have introduced a cloud controller that provides gamers with convenience and a superior control experience," adding, "We will continue to be a brand that shares the glory of victory with more gamers through high-performance gaming gear." The official retail price of the Nimbus Cloud is 259,000 KRW.

To commemorate the launch of the Nimbus Cloud, SteelSeries is running a promotion on its official Naver store from February 11th to the 28th. During this period, the product can be purchased at a 10% discount for 233,100 KRW.
