Dead or Alive, which released its first title in 1996, has shared new updates as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced Dead or Alive 6 Last Round on the 13th, alongside a teaser trailer for a new project in the series.

The 28-second teaser trailer showcases modernized visuals and a battle set against the backdrop of a city skyscraper with the sound of a helicopter. Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden makes an appearance, drawing significant attention. While detailed information about the new project has not yet been disclosed, it is currently in development for PS5.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is set to launch on PS5 on June 25. The game will be available in both a standard edition and a free-to-play (F2P) version. The free-to-play version allows players to choose from four characters—Kasumi, NiCO, Marie Rose, and Honoka—out of the total roster of 29 playable characters.

Furthermore, post-launch updates, new costumes, and additional characters have been announced. Optimized for the PS5, Dead or Alive 6 Last Round also introduces a new photo mode that allows players to capture combat scenes from various angles.

Meanwhile, producer Yosuke Hayashi stated via the PS Blog, "Dead or Alive 6 may be reaching its Last Round, but the franchise will return in the near future in a stronger form."
