Tripwire Presents, the publishing arm of Tripwire Interactive, has announced that 'The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire'—crafted by the Turkish indie developer BEF Games—is now available in Steam Early Access. It is an open-world action simulation that tasks you with building a criminal empire and wiping out rival gangs to become the ultimate boss.

Formerly known as 'The Boss Gangsters: Nightlife', this title is currently playable on Windows PC via Steam, priced at 20,500 KRW for the local market. Set in a fictional 1980s Night City, you start as a penniless hopeful, striving to dominate the urban sprawl before your rivals leave you with absolutely nothing.

The gameplay loop involves managing nightclubs, recruiting and drilling loyal mobsters, shaking down local businesses, and purging the competition. Naturally, you can also grease the palms of corrupt coppers or pull the strings of city officials like the mayor to keep your operations running smoothly. The atmosphere is bolstered by 16 original tracks, perfectly capturing that 80s nightlife vibe.

Future updates promise to expand your criminal portfolio significantly. You will eventually be able to diversify your illicit enterprises, ranging from drug manufacturing and arms dealing to managing hotels as you carve out your own unique path to power.
